Holiday Experience: What Makes Me Happy

Holidays

Most people enjoy holidays these days because they allow them to take a break from their daily routines and also help to recharge themselves. We can return to school or work with renewed energy after a vacation. I also love holidays and make sure to enjoy them.

I can do whatever makes me happy during my holidays. My holidays are a way for me to be free from the pressures of my studies. I love holidays because I can watch my favorite soap operas or movies that I missed during the semester. I also enjoy playing games online and competing with my friends. I have the time and energy to help my mother with the housework.

My family and my cousins are also able to join me on holidays. He usually comes to my house for the weekend, and I spend the weekend at his. We go to the movies together, and that is what I love most about those times. We play football together in my backyard when he visits. We take our dog for walks when we’re too tired. However, it is not a rule that we spend the whole day at home. His father often takes me out to dinner at a restaurant when I visit him.

Holidays aren’t always about having fun. Holidays can also be a chance to improve our personalities and learn new things. My grandparents are walking libraries. They lived in a time when technology was not a luxury. It is a requirement that I spend at least a week at their home. My grand-father and grandmother teach me how to make delicious meals, while my grandfather plays Scrabble and other mind games to improve my vocabulary.

I love nature and am an avid outdoorsman. My family and I often plan outings to go on outings together or with friends to visit nature parks, or just spend the day at seaside. Our own camping tents are ours so we’re always up for adventure. My friends and me often go fishing together. We bring wood to light the fire and cook our fish.

Holidays are one of the most anticipated moments in everyone’s lives. You can enjoy the moment and relax. Life is too short to be under constant stress and pressure. Because we all work hard, we all deserve a break.

It is important to do what makes you happy

It all began when I was 12 years old, in 7th grade. I love dance and was so excited about all the fun and cool dances that i learned this summer. I also attended three dance studios: Xcape Dance Studio and Lehigh Valley Salsa Kids & Asylum Dance Project. I began to doubt my dancing as Xcape was beginning to fade. My mom, my young mother, kept reminding me that if I wanted to start a dance studio for children whose parents can’t afford it, I had to. I needed to continue my dance career, keep dancing, and not stop dancing.

I made the decision to continue doing what I love so I don’t repeat the same mistakes. After leaving my first dance studio, I was devastated. I knew it wasn’t the right place for me. So I began pursuing my dreams at Xcape Dance Studio. The dances that I learned this summer are amazing. I would love to share my dances with all my friends but I felt empty after summer because Ms. Portia, my hip-hop teacher, left.

It was a great opportunity to work for a junior company. But then, the bad news came: she was leaving. I was about to register for Xcape. I thought about changing my mind but they informed me that there would be a company tryout. It was such a relief to hear that there would be company tryouts. But then I realized that I would need to work harder in order to be accepted this year. Show them that you want to work with them and try my best.

Here’s the problem: I want to play basketball. The problem was that I did not know the times of the practices. I wanted to play basketball. My gym teacher asked me whether I wanted to play basketball. I would always answer yes but forget to ask when the practices were. I would tell my mom about the gym and how we played basketball. She would then ask me if they had ever asked when practices were. I would answer no, but i will still ask them in the next class. I would forget to ask my instructor when the practices were.

My head would tell me that if I didn’t ask my teacher about the practices, I wouldn’t be able to play basketball this year. The next day, I was ready to ask my teacher at the gym when practices were, in order to find out if there was a conflict between basketball and dance. I am eager to get answers from my gym teacher when I arrive at school. I ask my homeroom teacher whether i can ask my gym teacher any questions. He agreed and let me write you a pass. The next thing you’ll know, I have my pass and am heading out of the room.

Finally, I get to her bedroom and ask when the tryouts were and what times they were. I was told that tryouts would be held at the end of each month, and that practices would be on Tuesdays or Thursdays. It was obvious that I had a very busy schedule, so I started to think. As I was about to leave, I began to think about what I would do. It came to me and I thought, “What would i do?” I want to continue dancing but also play basketball basketball. These were the things I wanted to do.

Then I realized I had to do what was best for me. It was important to follow your heart. Following my heart is what makes me happy. Dancing is what makes me happy. Basketball is another thing I love to do. My advice to my friends is to follow your heart and do the things you love. Never give up on what they love. Follow your heart.
