Hit Your Children So They Know That You Care
It may sound harsh, but many American parents and two-thirds of pediatricians feel that corporal punishment is merely tough love. Children will benefit from it in the long run. Opponents, consisting manly of child psychologists in addition to parents, believe that punishment, especially physical, is detrimental to a child’s health and future. While every person with an ounce of a soul cares about the well being of his or her children, parents cannot seem to reach a consensus on this controversial issue. Whether or not it is an effective and acceptable technique to raise a child is constantly debated. The degree of acceptance that a solution deserves should be a moral and healthy adult, so I will be evaluating precisely that.
